#GiveLifeIE Launching January 2024
In January 2024, we are launching the #GiveLifeIE initiative to address the critical blood shortages in our community. By partnering with hospitals, elected officials, community leaders, and top employers, we aim to raise awareness about the urgent need for blood donations. Your participation in #GiveLifeIE simply means helping to spread the word and encouraging others in your circle to donate blood.

How You Can Help
Support Us During National Blood Donor Month
January is National Blood Donor Month, and we are officially launching #GiveLifeIE in January 2024. Here are a few ways you can help support the cause:
Record a PSA: Your name, face, and influence carry weight in our community. Use it! Record a short, 30-second video encouraging people to donate blood and share it on your social media pages.
Post on Social Media: Your personal and business social media accounts reach people that ours may not. Help us communicate the critical need for blood donors by posting about it. We’ll provide graphics, talking points, and anything else you might need.
Talk to Your Circle: Your employees, constituents, friends, and family could all be potential blood donors. Encourage them to donate if they are able. If they can’t, ask them to recruit 1-2 people to donate during National Blood Donor Month in their place.
Support Us Year Round
Blood donations are needed year-round, not just during National Blood Donor Month. Here are a few ways you can support us throughout the year:
Keep Talking: Blood can be donated every 8 weeks. Commit to sending a reminder to your group once per quarter with a special ask to donate blood.
Support Us During Critical Times: Critical times are when donations typically decrease—such as during the holidays, summer, and winter breaks. We may reach out for additional support during these times, but we encourage you to keep blood donation top of mind, especially when life gets busy.
Host a Blood Drive: If your company already hosts blood drives, that’s great! If not, let’s discuss the possibility of hosting one at your location.

Wear Our #GiveLifeTee
We understand that not everyone is able to donate blood, but everyone can help spread the word! Wear your #GiveLifeIE shirt when you’re out and about. When people ask you about it, take the opportunity to talk about the importance of donating blood.
